Making money with your cell phone

So anywhere people gather, there is a way to make money off of it. This is something I've learned over time.

Twitter, facebook, blogs, mom groups, craigslist... anything that gets traffic is monetize-able.

A few days ago I blogged on a new concept to the market turbo tycoon and I still very much believe in and have high hopes for that company but tonight I realized they aren't a unique as I had thought.

I've heard people talking about making money with Twitter and I thought... uh... how? Well tonight I ran across a blog over at our friends at it's all free online.

That blog shared 2 more opportunities for making money texting and I'm stoked :) I've just gotten back into twitter I have my freebie blog updating there regularly now... and as soon as it's geared up we'll be joining with that account.

When you sign up for sponsored tweets you're basically giving a 3rd party permission to tweet your followers about things they're marketing that your followers might be interested in... if you were an auto repair shop maybe maintnance, deals on service, car recalls, shop supplies, ect would be things you'd want your followers to see.

For my deal blog and followers though I've got mine set for freebies, sweepstakes, deals, coupons, bogo, mom, sales, discounts, surveys, money making opportunities, key words since that's what that blog is about.

You also get to set a price you're willing to accept for allowing them to tweet your followers. Mine is set at $1 I'm going to wait and see how well it performs at such a low rate is my links are low quality I'll probably raise my price or maybe discontinue the service but I don't know that yet we'll have to wait and see how it performs.

Now there's a couple of draw backs to this program your twitter account must be 60 days old, you must have minimum of 100 followers and 100 previous tweets. You also can't cash out till you've hit $50 in payments. "we" aren't at those milestones with that account yet so we're going to have to wait to start this program but we'll let you know how it does in the future. My Likes: 




My likes is an interesting program basically we all share links sometimes to friends about products that we've recently checked out and been impressed with or a favorite song or whatever... now you can get paid for sharing that info on twitter (and facebook, youtube, and various other social networks that I didn't immediately recognize :)   ) The pay for each program varies greatly... and is PPC (pay per click). This one just takes some browsing... right now what I'm not liking about my likes though is that I signed my facebook business page up for it and then realized it wouldn't work well with it... and wanted to move it to my personal page and I'm having a heck of a time getting it to remove and replace that info... *sigh* anyway over all think the program is nifty.


You aren't going to get rich with either of these programs but getting paid to do something we normally do anyway is very much worthwhile if I make $20 for something I would have done for free then I'm ahead and I'll go get my nails done with the little extra that came in for virtually nothing.

Pur3x is what got me back into this mindset. I believe in this company and there is a lot of money to be made in this budding company.

These are the same principles applied when it comes to network marketing.  The companies I mentioned have been around for many years if someone wasn’t making money working them then they wouldn’t have made it! Average marketing techniques have gotten lost in the technology age people have so much information at their finger tips it’s hard to know in what direction to throw your advertising dollars so what better way to create loyal happy customers then paying them for telling other people about products they love and virally spreading the word about their product this is very very closely related if not precisely what viral marketing is all about. Did you share that youtube video that made you laugh so hard you cried? I bet some of your friends shared it too. That’s all there is to a business like this.

What I have always, ALWAYS said about MLM’s is that the only people who make money in an MLM are the people at the top and with Pur3x as of today that is VERY much a possibility. Let me tell you why. Pur3x was launched January 2010, this company is only 8 months old there are as I’m writing this just under 5,000 members (distributors) in this company and with a forced matrix system there is NO choice but for your downline to grow even if you, yourself aren’t working on it.

Now… that’s not to say you should sit back and expect to become the next big name/earner in the company by sitting on your bum hoping to the MLM fairy that you’ll start getting rich without doing any work at all. Any business and I mean ANY business requires work, if you are sitting at home answering customer service calls, if you are posting links to every website you can think of, if you are stuffing envelopes, sewing, posting items on ebay this is all some form of work. I’ll also go on to say that this is NOT for everyone.

Now I know when I heard the cost I thought OMG! You want me to come up with how much money? But I got to thinking about it. How often do you get the opportunity to be a part of something this big when it’s starting out? Next to never. What if 5 years from now someone tells me about this opportunity and the company is in 500,000 distributors or more? Won’t I feel stupid for letting this opportunity pass me up? I can almost promise you it’s going to happen. These companies grow like wildfire. You just have to get in… tell a few people and wait and watch your downline grow.

So what’s better then saving money, getting a deal, or making money? How about doing all 3 at once?

If you like twitter then boy do I have a deal for you. I’m a deal hunter by nature, frugal should have been my middle name… I mean I guess… I like to spend money, but nothing makes me happier then getting something I consider a good deal so when I’m not busy with facebook games, wow, or whatever other goof off type thing I’m doing, I’m deal hunting or looking for ways to make money. So while deal hunting on ebay awhile back I ran across a nifty website.  Turbo Tycoon.

Turbo Tycoon is a free MLM, affiliate marketing, deal network, all rolled into one.

If you have a cell phone with an unlimited texting plan then it won’t cost you a thing to sign up or use this service.Turbo tycoon gathers local and national deals and pays you for the privilege of sending you the text to tell you about the service. They pay you for every text you receive, every person who signs up because you told them about the service, and for every business that you get to sign up to offer deals.

This website like others I’ve mentioned and the very next blog topic I’m writing on is in pre-launch stages. I’ve gotten a couple of paid texts from them but they are working hard to get set up. The amount of deals offered in your area will be directly related to the number of people you tell about the service locally… so click the link sign up and text the link to all your friends and tell them they can get paid for receiving a few texts it’s that simple. A little about me:

I’m Heather Roberts (moon, moonlight, moonie, shadow, dixie, and any combination of the above) mother to one beautiful little girl named Sarina who’s four, and wife to my dear husband, Adam. I’m the oldest of four children, my mother and father are both disabled but by the grace of God, they are still with me. I’m *gulp* 27 years old. Some of you may think that’s young but to me it’s hard to say because at this point I’m not where I want to be on my “adult plan” I’ve got 2 years and a couple months till 30, and I expected to have things a little more solid in my life by now.

That being said I’ve decided to do something about it. You see I’ve been a stay at home mom for the last three years, wannabe mompreneur, and half ass college student. I made good grades, but life keeps kicking me and preventing me from continuing with school. School with a child, husband, and a job was next to impossible, and then even when I wasn’t working I couldn’t really afford to go to school. Sure I had a pell grant, but it didn’t cover gas, insurance, car payments, repairs, or any other living expense. So finding a way to make money online and through social networking seems to be the answer, and I’ve been looking into this off and on for a few years but never as seriously as I am now.

Like I said I’ve been looking into this for awhile, so I’ve run into site after site that makes huge promises of pay outs and get rich quick schemes (PLEASE!) There is no magic ATM on the internet. There are however ways to make money online a little at a time and ways to make residual incomes through programs like google adsense, and ebay & amazon affiliates. The problems with these is that people create absolute crap websites that are usually little more then one long advertisement designed to look like real content. So with so much junk out there and people trying to sell you information it’s hard to know what is real, scam, and filler. This creates another problem all together with all the junk out there real content, people who have real knowledge and want to offer it to you for reasonable or no cost are so hard to find.

That is the problem I’m working to solve for you. I will be trying out and reviewing online affiliate programs, researching work at home opportunities and work online opportunities, reading e-books, basically testing everything that promises income outside of a traditional J-O-B (Just Over Broke).

So… if this is precisely where you find yourself searching for a real opportunity you will find this site/blog stuffed full of information on this topic. Follow me on my journey to make money online let me help you do the footwork of learning the ins and outs of this industry and let me help you weed out the scams.
